Kalu, Anyaoku and theWorld Bank

by Odimegwu Onwumere

The cheery ex-Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu has placed his
stand on the development for the job of the president of World Bank.

This was made public in most of the national newspapers of 2nd April, 2012.

While speaking through his spokesman, Emeka Obasi, Kalu said that for the
avoidance of doubt, Chief Emeka Anyaoku should be detailed to Europe to use
his years of mammoth knowledge in diplomacy and therefore grab hold of this
prospect for Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Kalu feels the pain so much, which was why he’s calling for international
diplomacy, because of the shocking politics of the apex bank. Left for him,
it is Okonjo-Iweala or nothing. He’s seriously thinking about the going
politics, teaching with support and ideals, visions and dreams.

As a true and an honest leader, Kalu has not been impressed with any form
of meandering nature of anybody or group. Hence, Nigerians should thank him
for his selfless service in making sure that the voice of Nigerians doesn’t
go down the drain in the world.

Nigerians are saying that the Almighty God will continue to increase him in
wisdom, knowledge and riches, because the Almighty God is with whosoever
that is truthful. This is why outnumbered population of Nigeria was saying
that it is not finished with Kalu politically and otherwise until it is
finished.

The encouragement is that he should continue to press forward, finely and
harder. Nigerians are not tired of him. They are saying that Kalu is a
leader who never produced bad followers because of his outstanding records,
but there were people around him who have today towed the line of wasting
time in the government of Abia State because of selfishness, with
distending grammar and developing the state only on the pages of the
newspapers.

Conversely, Abians knew that a waster of time and development of Abia State
as is glaring today is a waster of everything. For how long will the
government on ground continue to frustrate and waste Abians, because of bad
governance?

Kalu should not stop until positive things outnumber negative things in
Nigeria. His body language on the position at the World Bank suggests that
those involved in it should never beat around the bush.

Hope President Goodluck Jonathan will by now warming Anyaoku up?
