Israel, the Church: eternal seeds God planted here!

by Eferovo Igho

In “Bible, Science, Creation, Evolution/Atheism, Civilization and Eternity”, a research work by this author published by Articlebase.com, NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Science, Scientist of the Year, Telescope and dozens of other global science concerns, I concluded with the theme of Israel and the Church in the matter of eternity. I wish to reproduce it here before adding few more notes, and introducing Scriptures-driven hymns put together by yours sincerely. Subtitled, ‘And God’s two Great Signs’ I wrote: “Besides nature; the unquestionable truth of creation by a Divine Being called God; the submission of the findings of true science to the truth embedded in Scriptures; and the great civilized impact The Bible has on the world; there are many other proofs of the existence of God and of the Bible being His only Word to man. But we shall here visit only too: Israel and The Church.

“The miracle that is Israel and the sign that is ever Jewry wherever they are found and, of course, the way they have survived in a very hostile world for several thousands of years now only has divine explanation, and which explanation we see running through the pages of The Book of Life. And then, the Church! The great wonder of the Mustard Seed – its growth, uniqueness and resilience in an antagonizing world with several gates of hell, who can explain! And derived from that is the truth that degenerated men are being regenerated and made righteous or made to conform to the image of God, and that through the shed Blood of Jesus Christ (the Head of the Church) on the Cross of Calvary.

“Israel and the Church are divinely planted here on earth. They point to the glorious fact that God is not only up above but rules in the affairs of men. But more than that: These two plantings of God (ISRAEL and THE CHURCH) are supposed to show the world that there is eternity, which of course, is governed by God. Israel and the Church represent, as it were, God’s preparatory stage to bring men into eternity with Him, Adam having failed.

“God used Adam to populate the earth that now is. The world became so corrupt that Abel, Enoch and Noah were the only highly spoken-of and, or recorded faithful between Adam and Abraham. In Abraham God decided to make a new deal. He will use Abraham through the promised child, Isaac, and Jacob the beneficiary of that great and perpetual promise, and which promise was finally consummated in Jesus Christ, THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD, to populate and govern (along side the faithful before Abraham, and the Church) the coming world that will never end, under the Headship of Jesus.

“A time is coming when, through Jesus Christ, all living Israelites shall be saved and that is besides all resurrected faithful Israelites. Israel is that sand on the seashore that cannot be numbered shown and promised Abraham by God. The Church is those innumerable stars shown and promised Abraham by God. Israel and the Church are planted in time and grow into eternity. They are the plantings of God and He is watching over them. There is nothing any man; any satanic concert and confederacy can do to stop that. Men can only do well for themselves if they come to God’s Christ (Jesus, the Man of Calvary) while there is still time. That is the only guaranty now to partake in that Abraham’s perpetual promise, that we see in Israel and the Church today but sure to be ushered into eternity with God. That is the only solution, failing which is inviting eternal damnation: And the Bible is incontestable and infallible in all matters: from creation to eternity.

“Of the Bible (and hence by extension, the Church) Napoleon Bonaparte is most instructive on several scores when he said: ‘the Bible is more than a book: it is a living being with an action; a power which invades everything that oppose its extension’. That must be food for thought for all self-proclaimed enemies of Jewry and the Church. As we approach the end of time, we just hope Jacque Chirac and those after him will allow the greatest Frenchman ever to inform and educate them about the Bible; and that is parenthetical!

“The more of the Bible pages scientific minds and governors and potentates peruse the better will be the nations and the more of its truth you and I imbibe and of its author, Jesus Christ, we know and become, the better is our station beyond civilization: eternity.”

The proper and chief place of Israel and the Church will come to the fore in the millennium when Christ comes to rule the earth from earthly Jerusalem, His headquarters which then too becomes the world capital city. There is nothing the enemies of Israel and enemies of the Church of Christ can do to take them from this world. Nothing Satan can do about it!

These are God’s plantings that the earth which Satan now controls today will be driven by after Jesus Christ makes all things new. And before then God has planted these seeds here just for that purpose; to control and rule the earth. If it were possible for the forces of wickedness to exterminate these two, they would have long done that, for there are nothing the enemies of either or both have not done in history to exterminate these two. If only the enemies of Israel and the Church knew that these are eternal plantings and that by the eternal God! God has a covenant, an everlasting covenant with His two plantings on earth. Rather than any power, force, figure (be they spirits or human) exterminate them, these two will not only outlive all their enemies here on earth but will drive the world when Messiah comes.

Happy are those who will not only stop thinking, planning and carrying out evil against these two but who will come into the fold of the Church through the Savior of Mankind (Jesus Christ): and that the ‘those’ include both Israel and the Gentile world; for so it must be now for Israel in this time of grace, until that time when all Israel shall be saved.

May these humble hymns of mine put together from Scriptures send additionally clear message to all enemies of Israel and the Church!

ISRAEL, A NATION TODAY AND FOREVER

1. Israel, a nation today and forever.
The enemies’ anger came to naught then;
And their horses and riders were all drowned.
Israel became a nation unto God.

The nations that curse Israel shall be cursed,
Their portion shall descend from our God:
For from henceforth the battle is the Lord’s.
But the nations that bless her shall be blessed

2. God made void their crafty devices again,
Their hands could not perform their enterprise,
So, the dry bones came together again.
Israel became a nation once again.

3. Right now the heathen are raging as of old,
Kings, rulers taking counsel together.
But He that sits in the heavens shall laugh,
The Lord shall now have them in derision.

4. Voice of noise from the City Jerusalem;
Voice from Zion, His holy habitation;
And now, God’s voice that renders recompense,
Even recompense to His enemies.

FOR YOUR MAKER IS YOUR HUSBAND
(The Hymn of Israel and, then, the Church)

1. O sing, you barren, you that did not bear.
Break forth into singing, cry aloud with joy
All you that did not travail with child:
For more are the children of the desolate.

For your Maker is your Husband (Husband);
The LORD of Hosts His Name (His Name);
And your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel;
The God of the whole earth shall He be called.

2. Fear not, for you shall never be afraid,
Neither will you henceforth be least confounded.
You shall not know the shame of your youth,< br/> Neither will remember widowhood reproach.

3. Now, they shall surely gather together.
But then not by Me says the Almighty God:
And so, whosoever gathers ‘gainst you
Shall fall and very hard even for your sake.

4. Weapons formed against you shall not prosper;
All tongues henceforth rising ‘gainst you in judgment,
Shall you condemn, says the LORD of Hosts.
This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants.

THIS GREAT ETERNAL GOD IS YOUR SAFE REFUSE
(The Hymn of Israel and, then, the Church)

1. None like unto the God of Jeshurun
Who rides upon Heaven in your very help,
In His Excellency on the sky.
This great eternal God is your safe refuge.

This great eternal God is your safe refuge,
And shall say, ‘Destroy them’; and you shall dwell safe.
Who is like unto you people saved by God?
Happy shall you then be, and forever more.

2. Yes, and underneath Arms Everlasting.
And He will now thrust out your soul’s enemy
With all your foes from before you all,
And shall say, ‘Destroy them’; and you shall dwell safe.

3. Fountain of Jacob upon corn, wine land.
Also His high heavens shall drop down the dew.
Now saved by the Lord, Shield of your help,
None is like unto you people saved by God.

4. And He is the Sword of your majesty.
And all your enemies shall be found liars.
Now you shall tread down all high places.
Happy shall you then be, and forever more!

May we make the millennium rule with Christ! May we be among those to be raptured! May we rejoice with Jerusalem; may we morn and pray for her as Scriptures directs in Isaiah 66: That we may suck and be satisfied with the breast of her consolation and the very abundance of her glory, and so much more. The sum: That her eternal blessings we may partake! A hymn to this effect, i.e. which centers on Isaiah 66 is produced in the section on the millennium, for then will it be consummated.

Let us therefore as individuals, families, church-groups etc love Israel, Jewry and Jerusalem and earnestly see to their welfare through prayers, giving for their cause and by other ways possible. We should not forget this in haste. It is also key to the rapture; for of this Matthew 25: 34-44 principally and primarily refer, and we read:

“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?”

In our days Israel is passing through distress; the enemies are on all sides; friendly nations are becoming hypocritical. God needs you and me to rubbish their evil devices. Many of God’s people (and I refer to Jewry) are going back to their God-given land and the problems on their way are far beyond what man can resolve, but God need men, you and me, for Him to make good His promises. Only by grace are we needed; and so, whether we act or not, He will still do of His good pleasure. But the blessedness of those who reach out to Israel and Jewry in prayers, giving, and in taking the gospel to them is overwhelming and eternal. This is one issue after God’s heart.

And there are, indeed, innumerable Scriptures that encourage, invite, command or expect us to do our utmost for Israel, Jewry and Jerusalem. Innumerable! Almost with tears therefore I turn from a subject matter where we have done so little as individuals, families, church-groups and what have you to the subject matter of the rapture (our spiritual subject matter after this) that it also relates to and indeed key to. It is very costly to ignore Israel and Jewry. It is costly not to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. This matter is tied to our eternity with God! May God help us! Amen.
