It Doesn’t Take A Graduate…

by Odimegwu Onwumere

Nigeria is like a castrated scrotum, whittled firewood, a disjointed bone and a wriggling earthworm on a hook. Nigeria needs in 2007 presidential election someone who has the dexterity and sagacity for leadership to put the debacles together. Nigeria does not need someone whose orientation will be un-nationalistic, someone who will be more adherent to party constitution than the national constitution, someone with all the PhDs without a charisma for humanity.

It amounts to foolhardiness and mumbo-jumbo the speculation that it’s because the PDP Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was a University graduate that is why PDP has his support – per adventure he wins in the April Polls he will be the first university graduate to rule Nigeria.

Nigeria does not need a university graduate to attain utopia. There is no former leaders of Nigeria without a formal education. The problem with us especially our leaders is greed and not qualification thing.

Nigeria needs someone who will practice the rule of law, not the rule of lucre. Nigeria needs someone who will practice the rule of law and not the rule of tyranny. Nigeria needs someone who will touch the lives of the citizens with people-oriented programmes and not with party-oriented programmes.

Proposal to all Nigerians in Diaspora: We need to get together, pool our funds together(I say $10.00 a month per head) from now till 2011 (next elections) form a political party(choose the good ones amongst us for key positions) storm Nigeria in 2011 and take the country back from these shameless elders/thieves we call leaders. I wanna go back home!!!
